Plumber in Greystanes

Same day service, 7 days $0 callout fee when the job goes ahead Fixed price upfront Licence No. 232989C

Ring the number and Mustafa picks it up. He also drives out, looks at the fault, writes the price and does the work. That sounds unremarkable until you count how many plumbing jobs get booked by one person, quoted by a second and handed to a third.

His licence, 232989C, sits on the quote and on the van. Greystanes is 5.1 kilometres from base, a short run down the Cumberland Highway, so same day is realistic seven days a week.

$65 off your first service when the enquiry comes through the website. Seniors take 10 per cent. The price is agreed before a tool comes out, and the visit itself costs nothing once you give the job the nod.

What happens when you call

You speak to the plumber. Describe what the tap is doing or where the water is coming from and you are talking to the person who will fix it, not someone filling in a form.
He comes and looks. Nothing gets priced off a phone description, because half the time the fault is not what it looked like from the kitchen.
One figure, agreed first. A fixed price for the whole job, explained, and yours to approve or decline. Decline it and you owe nothing.
Done and cleaned up. The repair is tested while you watch, the offcuts go in the van, and the spot gets left the way it was found.

About Greystanes

Greystanes is a suburb people stay in. Around 23,511 residents, a median age of 39, and families still in houses their parents bought, plenty of them put up through the fifties and sixties by Maltese tradesmen working this side of Cumberland Council. Blocks are generous, the shopping centre is where everyone ends up on a Saturday, and the golf club has been there longer than most of the fences.

That suits an owner operator. Repeat work on the same street is normal, and knowing a house's era before the gate opens saves everyone time.

Plumbing work we do in Greystanes

Worn tap bodies and spindles a washer no longer saves. Toilets that run all night. Weeping sections in ageing pipework. Gas cooktops, heaters and new points, which sit under gas fitting but come through the same call. Laundry and bathroom fitouts, roof plumbing, valves, and the list on the fridge.

The wider range is set out under general plumbing and maintenance. Bigger problems have their own pages: blocked drains Greystanes, how we sort out the hot water, and what happens when the bill climbs and we have to track down a leak under the floor.

Why locals call us back

The figure quoted is the figure charged. A job that turns out harder than it looked is his time to wear, not a reason to ring you with bad news.

Nobody here works on commission, so you will not be talked into a new unit when a part will do. And the place gets left clean.

Common questions

Is it actually Mustafa on the phone, or a booking service?

It is him. There is no receptionist taking details and passing them along, so if he is under a house when you ring it may go to message, and he calls back. The upside is that the person you describe the problem to is the person standing in your laundry later.

We are out at Pemulwuy rather than Greystanes proper. Do you come out there?

Yes, and Woodpark as well. Both are part of the same run for us. Pemulwuy houses are much newer, so the work tends to be fittings, mixers and hot water rather than the old pipework we see on the other side of the suburb.

My hot water and a blocked gully both need doing. Is that one callout or two?

One. Two different jobs on the one visit is normal and it is the whole reason to have a plumber who does the lot rather than a specialist for each. You get one price covering both, and you are not sitting home twice.

The house has a long run out to a back shed. Is outdoor pipework your area?

It is. Buried garden lines, outside taps, shed and granny flat supply, irrigation tees that have been dripping for years. Big Greystanes blocks tend to have a fair bit of pipe out past the back door, and a lot of it was put in by whoever owned the place at the time.

Water is coming through the ceiling on a Sunday night. Do I ring now or in the morning?

Now. That is what the 24 hour number is for, and a ceiling holding water can come down. Turn the mains off at the meter first, keep out from under the sagging part, and ring 0406 655 707.
