    About the suburb

North Rocks was orchards and poultry farms until the 1958 rezoning, and what went up afterwards, the Lynwood Estate among it, is what we work on now: brick veneer family homes on big blocks from the 1960s and 1970s. Separate houses are 78.1 per cent of dwellings and flats only 14.1 per cent.

That shapes the work. With 9,136 residents, a median age of 40 and high home ownership, plenty of these houses are still on their first or second set of everything. When a house of that age starts playing up it does it in several places at once, which is exactly when an upfront price matters.

You know the markers: North Rocks Shopping Centre, the run down to the M2, Muirfield Golf Club, NextSense, and Bidjigal Reserve along the back edge.

What we do in North Rocks

General plumbing and maintenance. Taps, toilets, burst pipes, roof and gutter work and renovations. Parent page: general plumbing and maintenance, with fixture work under tap and toilet repairs and cooktops and heaters under gas fitting.

Blocked drains. Sixty year old earthenware under a heavily treed suburb is a reliable combination. We camera it first. See blocked drains in North Rocks.

Hot water. Gas, continuous flow, electric and heat pump, on our hot water repairs and replacements page.

Leak detection. Ageing copper in slab houses gives pinhole and slab leaks, and we can find it without wrecking your floor.

Common questions from North Rocks homeowners

How can you quote a fixed price before seeing the job?
We don't. We come out, look properly, then give one price for the work. That number is agreed before anything starts, and it is the number on the invoice.
What if the job turns out bigger than it looked?
We stop and show you. You get a price for the extra work and you decide. You will never come home to a finished job and a bill you did not agree to.
    Is the $0 callout genuine?
Yes. When the job goes ahead there is no callout line, and the quote is not padded to cover one. You pay for the work, not the drive.
North Rocks is split between two councils. Does that affect me?
Most of the suburb is City of Parramatta, and the streets north of the M2 are in The Hills Shire. For repairs it makes no difference. It can matter for paperwork on bigger drainage work.
What goes first in a 1970s house?
Tap bodies and cistern internals, because they get used most. Then the copper, which thins and gives pinhole leaks, and the earthenware sewer, which cracks and lets roots in.
Do you take on small jobs?
Small jobs are most of the week. A washer, a running cistern, a leaking flexi hose under a vanity. Priced before we start, with no push to make it bigger.
